Description:

Over 40 historic buildings from various periods in the last 500 years have been saved and sited in the 50-acre Weald & Downland Open Air Museum.  There are cottages, workshops, farm-buildings and a working water-mill, dating from the seventeenth century (the flour is available to purchase in the gift shop).  You can see some traditional farming and gardening methods - there are seven gardens laid out in different period styles.  There are even farm animals kept in the Tudor farmstead.  The museum really brings history to life superbly for children and adults alike.
There are children's activities during half-term and summer school holidays, e.g. rural crafts and brick-laying
