Description:
This magnificent 14th century castle is a real delight for children to see, and makes learning about history lots of fun.  Visit the impressive Great Hall and State Rooms, and don't miss the Royal Weekend Party, where the scenes of an actual weekend party held in 1898 by the Countess of Warwick have been recreated.  In fine weather there is also outdoor entertainment, ranging from craftsmen to jousting.   The gardens and grounds cover 60 acres and are well worth exploring - don't miss the beautiful Victorian rose garden.  Choose from the Coach House family restaurant or the Undercroft, which has a carvery and also serves breakfasts and afternoon tea.  The Undercroft has a dedicated mother and baby area where you can warm up baby food or milk.  There is also a nursing area - ideal if you prefer peace and quiet whilst nursing your baby.  Refreshments are available outdoors: from jacket potatoes to ice-cream, as well as an outdoor barbecue, when the weather allows.  Your little ones can burn off any excess energy in the Pageant Playground.  There is also a mini play area for toddlers.

Note: there are lots of steps in the castle buildings, so the interior is not accessible to pushchairs - take a baby-carrier instead.
