Description:
The Swanage Railway takes you from Norden Station through very picturesque countryside past the impressive ruins of Corfe Castle to Swanage.  It is being promoted as a park-and-ride scheme into Swanage, with bus connections to and from Wareham, and must surely be one of the most charming park-and-ride schemes in the country.  Trains stop at Corfe Castle station as well as Harman's Cross, and there is a request stop, Herston Halt.  Stop at Corfe Castle station if you wish to visit the Swanage Railway Museum, housed in the former Goods Sheds. The station at Norden is well-equipped, with baby-changing facilities provided and a lovely adventure playground for your budding train enthusiasts.  At Swanage station you will find the Birds Nest Buffet (housed in railway coaches) and a gift shop.  From Swanage station it is just a few minutes' walk to the beach.
