Description:   This must be one of the National Trust's most attractive gardens - in fact the grounds here with the beautiful lake are probably more famous than the mansion.  If it's open when you visit, the house is well worth exploring, for it's impressive collection of art and furnishings.  Note that pushchairs are not admitted in the house, but baby-carriers are available to borrow.  There are quizes and family activity packs available to keep all the family interested.  There are woodland walks to enjoy as well the landscaped gardens.    Open: Garden: Daily: all year  - 09.00 - 19.00 House: 14th March - 1st November - Friday - Tuesday Restaurant: Daily: February: 10.00 - 16.30 March - October:  10.00 - 17.30 November - January : 10.30 - 16.00   Admission: House & Gardens Adult: £12.30 Child: £6.10 Family: £29.00
