Description:
This light railway takes passengers on a delightful journey over 13 miles long from Hythe to Dungeness, via Dymchurch, St Mary's Bay and Romney. There is car parking at all of the stations except Romney Sands (for the Holiday Village). New Romney Station houses the headquarters of the railway, and here you will find the visitor centre, the Heywood Buffet tea room, a model railway exhibition and a children's play area. At Dungeness Station the Light Railway Cafe serves meals to eat in or take away - perfect for fish & chips. Baby-changing facilities are provided at Dungeness, New Romney, Dymchurch and Hythe Stations. If you want to visit the Kent Wildlife Trust's Romney Marsh Visitor Centre, make use of the shuttle service from New Romney Station (check railway website for operating dates for this shuttle).
