Description:

Take a look back at the fashions of yesteryear and trace the history through to late 20th century designs. We may have lost some of the glamour in the everyday wear of today, but girls may breathe a sigh of relief that they are not expected to wear some of the items on display! If the Assembly rooms are not in use, you may also visit these as part of your visit, and imagine yourself in the world of Jane Austen's novels.
You may take your pushchair inside, but there are steps in the museum, so you may find it easier to borrow one of the baby-carriers available for loan from the ticket office.
