Description: Housed in the old station building, Monkwearmouth Station Museum gives you an insight into life when the station and railway were operating.  There are lots of the original features, including the booking office and ticket booths.  There are lots of interactive displays for children to enjoy.  Open: Daily Monday - Saturday: 10.00 - 17.00 Sunday: 14.00 - 17.00 [Closed 25th - 26th December & 1st January] Admission: Free of charge
