Description: Originally built in Tudor times, Lyme Park was remodelled in the 18th century.  The house is set in beautiful landscaped parkland, with formal gardens around the house.  You may recognise it from the BBC's 1990s adaptation of Pride and Prejudice - the memorable Colin Firth (Darcy) diving into the lake scene was filmed here.  For little ones, the highlight is the large adventure playground.  Baby carriers are available for loan while in the house. Visit the restaurant for a meal or afternoon tea - or bring a picnic to enjoy in the park.
