Family-friendly Places in London
A family day out in central London can seem like a daunting experience, especially if you're not from the capital, but actually there are lots of family-friendly tourist attractions, restaurants and shops to visit in London. Allow plenty of time for travelling about London, and choose your transport carefully - many underground stations are still not wheelchair-friendly, which means they are also not very pushchair-friendly. It's not so bad if you have help from a friend or partner, but it can be pretty hair-raising trying to carry one or more small children and a buggy up an escalator on your own! For one baby, you may find an infant carrier is an easier option, or use the bus - many London buses are now pushchair-friendly (particularly if you can avoid the really busy periods). Another benefit is that most small children love buses - even more so, if it's not something they get to go on every day.
