Description:
One of the most picture-perfect castles in England, Leeds Castle is a place for the whole family to enjoy.  Built in the 12th century, the castle became a royal palace in the 13th century and was traditionally the home of widowed queens of England.  Now there is lots for all the family to enjoy - explore the impressive rooms of the moated castle, enjoy a meal in the restaurant or a picnic in the grounds.  There are two wonderful play areas - one for younger children (up to around 6 years) and the other for older ones.  You can take the road-train from the car-park area down to the castle, or take a stroll through the delightful grounds, and feed the ducks on the way (bags of seed can be purchased at the shop).
