Description:
This impressive house dates from the 17th century, but has seen considerable alterations since then.  It was the home of the Bankes family, and houses their extensive collection of paintings, including works by Van Dyck, Titian and Breughel.  The gardens and parkland are perfect for letting off a little more energy.  
Meals are available in the Stables Restaurant, or make use of the picnic area.  Look out for special events through the year.
There is easy pushchair access except inside the house, where baby slings are available to borrow.
