These gorgeous gardens, previously owned
and developed by Vita Sackville-West and her husband, are a delight to
visit, and a real inspiration for any gardener (or would-be gardener!).
The gardens are divided up into "rooms" with various themes, for example,
the famous white garden - and these are great fun for children to explore.
If they need further encouragement, there is a children's quiz available
from the ticket office. Children may also enjoy climbing the steps to
the top of the tower, which affords wonderful views of the gardens. Light
refreshments are available at the Coffee Shop, or enjoy a meal at the
Granary Restaurant, which has lots of tasty and nutritious choices just for
children, with half-portions of all the hot dishes also available. |
