These extensive gardens designed by "Capability" Brown are beautiful in all seasons, with bulbs in spring and azaleas in summer, but they are probably at their most spectacular in autumn when the colours of the trees make them a real delight to visit.  If it's a sunny day do remember your camera, as you're almost guaranteed to capture some gorgeous scenes.  The gardens include several lakes, so make sure you keep a close eye on your very young explorers.

Other facilities:
  • All-terrrain pushchairs & back-carriers are available for loan
  • Various events through the year, e.g. Easter egg hunt, teddy bears' picnic

Other notes:
  • The National Trust does not have a tea-room facility in the park, but there is a non-NT tea-room just near the entrance to Sheffield Park.
