The Natural History Museum houses an extensive
range of specimens, divided into two main areas - the Life Galleries and the
Earth Galleries. It is perhaps most famous for its collection of
dinosaurs, but has much much more. The museum guide book includes
suggestions for which exhibitions will appeal most to children, and also
those to see if you have only a limited amount of time. If you
are taking 7-14 year-olds, don't miss the Investigate area. Facilities for
babies and young children are excellent, as is the attitude of staff.
If you need refreshments, try the Life Galleries Restaurant for hot meals or
the Waterhouse Cafe or Globe Cafe for light meals or snacks. |
