Given its city-centre location, this zoo
is surprisingly large, and is home to a wide range of animals. The
main aims of the zoo are now education and conservation - and animals are
housed in as natural enclosures as possible. There are many special features
at the zoo, e.g. animal feeding and talks by keepers. Perhaps the most
famous residents are the penguins - and they really are a delight for
children to see; maybe its their size or maybe its the cute walk -
anyway all children (and probably grown-ups too) seem to love them! |
