This former home of Rudyard Kipling is
situated in a delightful part of the Sussex countryside - no wonder Kipling
wanted to settle down here for good. The house itself is well worth
exploring, as are the grounds, which include an old water mill for producing
flour. The huge mill wheel and stones and mechanisms are fascinating
to children. And if you point out that Kipling wrote the Jungle
Book, the children are sure to want to visit this place.
