Description:

Originally a furniture shop only, Holmes Hill Estate has expanded to include a tea room, pottery-painting studio. outdoor play area and nature trails. At Masterpiece pottery studio, children and even babies can paint a pot, plate or the pottery painting (hand-prints make a very effective pattern on a plate or coaster) - and the staff are happy to help. If you are not local to the area, or would prefer not to return to collect the items, you can arrange to have them posted to you. After your hard work painting, treat yourself to a cup of tea and a slice of cake at the tea room next door, where light lunches are also served. The outside seating area overlooks the lake. You are also welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy at the lakeside picnic area. There are also a few animals for children to see - pigs, rabbits and chickens are always favourites with young children. And of course, if it's furniture you're after, you can browse the wide range of oak and pine furniture in the showroom - you should have earned enough brownie points with the children by then to justify a little shopping time!
