Description: Operating for over 30 years, the Great Central Railway is an 8 mile-long preserved railway between Loughborough and Leicester.  Each station is set in a different era - Loughborough in the 1960s, Quorn & Woodhouse in the 1940s and Rothley station in Edwardian times. If you're after refreshments visit the tea rooms at Loughborough North or at Rothley Stations, or take your own food to enjoy at the picnic area at Quorn & Woodhouse Station. Rothley Station also has a garden railway which is popular with children.
