Description:

One of Britain's most impressive castles, Edinburgh Castle really is a must-see if you're visiting this lovely city.  There's lots to see here - including the royal palace-, which is home to the famous Stone of Destiny (used in the coronation of Scottish kings );the Great Hall with its beautiful stained glass, and impressive armour; and don't forget the stunning views over the city.   If you have a sleeping baby with you, make sure you take shelter inside one of the buildings just before 1 o'clock - even the heaviest sleeper would do well to sleep through the 1 o'clock gun - the cannon fired daily (except Sundays) -  but older children will love it!  For a meal choose from the table-service Queen Anne Cafe or the self-service Redcoat Cafe.   A parent & baby room is located near the entrance gates, and there are baby-changing facilities in the cafes.
