Description: Crich Tramway Village makes a great family day out - and not just for dedicated tram enthusiasts!  Riding on the trams has to be a big attraction for children, but the recreated period street with its shops and inn, is also fun to explore - don't miss the old-fashioned sweet shop (although you'll need more than 10p for a bag of sherbert lemons these days!).  There are indoor and outdoor play areas and the sculpture trail is well-worth walking through - the giant ant seems to appeal to children - and look out for a troll too.  Bring a picnic with you, or enjoy a meal at the Red Lion inn or at Rita's tearooms.
