Babies Welcome was founded with the aim of making the lives of parents and young children easier when going out or staying away.  We believe that there is a vicious circle - so stressed parents leads to stressed children, which adds to parents' stress - and so on!  Equally, if parents are more relaxed and happier, it's only natural that their children will pick up on this mood and be more relaxed themselves.  In our experience, the more stressed children are, the more they are likely to demonstrate their less favourable behaviours.  

One of our assessors has visited every establishment listed, and establishments are not able to "buy" an entry in the Babies Welcome guide.  This allows us to be truly independent and unbiased.
