Description:
The British Museum houses a treasure trove of objects for children to explore. Open since 1753, it is one of the great museums of the world. There are lost empires and ancient wonders to discover - Egyptian Mummies, Assyrian lions and even the chance to count the number of triangles in the huge Great Court (grown-ups shouldn't try - you will be there all day).

There is an excellent leaflet designed for youngsters; "Visiting with Children". This details a range of activities, with suggestions for what to see depending on how much time you can spend at the museum.

Saturday - Wednesday : 10.00 - 17.30
Thursday - Friday: 10.00 - 20.30

Admission:
Free for all ages

A charge is payable for some special exhibitions
