Description: Bodiam Castle is a wonderful castle for children to visit because it is so complete, and really looks like the castles of legends and fairytales.  It is picture perfect, with its moat, battlements and beautiful surrounding countryside - you can almost hear the chink of armour!  Enjoy a picnic by the River Rother or in the grounds around the castle, or visit the tea room.  Older children will enjoy climbing the spiral staircases - at the top you will be rewarded with views across Sussex and Kent.   Open: Castle: 1st February - 8th February: Saturday & Sunday : 10.30-16.00 14th February - 31st October : Daily 10.00 - 18:00 1st November - 20th December: Wednesday - Sunday : 10.30 - 16.00 [Closed 24th December - 5th January] Last admission 1 hr before closing.
