Description:

This magnificent castle, home to the Duke and Duchess of Rutland, was completed only as recently as the 19th century, although it is the most recent of four castles built since the 11th century. Situated high on a hill, it affords excellent views over the surrounding countryside, and the gardens are lovely. Inside, you can see many of the rooms, from the impressive staterooms to the old school room and nursery, and the old kitchen. Look out for the sleigh - just the sort you'd expect Father Christmas to appear on! Children can hunt the cuddly Belvoir bear, who can be found hiding in many of the rooms. There are woodlands to explore and there is an adventure playground.
