This enchanting model village has an innocent
charm about it which harks back to years gone by - perhaps to the 1930s
when it was first opened. We found it to be a breath of fresh air
after visiting so many over-commercialised places. Children simply
love this place, with its buildings at their height. There is an
astonishing amount packed into the village, or series of villages, including
a castle, a fairground (look out for the moving rides), a harbour and
flashing lighthouse. There are also several stations for the miniature
railway which runs through the village, bringing the whole thing to life.
For those who just can't get enough of trains, there is also a sit-on train
which operates in part of the grounds of the model village. There is a
children's play area with slides etc. and refreshments are available at a
kiosk with outdoor seating provided.
