This fascinating science centre has a
wide range of interactive exhibits for children to explore, and it also
houses the largest telescopes in the UK. Children can learn all about
the planets, the weather, how forces work - and all through play.
There is an excellent water-play area where little ones could spend hours
building mini locks, connecting plumbing pipes, or moving water through a
system by means of pumps and other devices. The displays are of
interest at many levels - so everyone from young children to teenagers and
adults is sure to learn something. The cafe serves snacks and light
meals, which can be eaten indoors or out - and there is a covered picnic
area for those wishing to take their own food. All-in-all this makes a
great day out for all the family.
Allow a full day if your children love
hands on displays - you may well find you need to visit again to see
everything!
